Comments: Examines the impact of media and social institutions on a woman’s attitude toward her body. The Studio Class discusses aspects of diversity in the female body and our national obsession with thinness. Students discuss gender-related weight and food issues, how body perceptions influences sexuality and power, and how social action might help women win back control of their bodies.
