Comments: In order to be helpful to our clients, we need to begin with a comprehensive framework for working with addiction-related problems. Our guest lecturer, Dr. Gerardo Gonzalez, has used his vast knowledge of counseling, education, and multiculturalism to develop such a framework. His integrated model addresses both prevention and treatment. Dr. Ganzalez shares his comprehensive model and shows how it can be applied to meet the needs of clients who identify themselves as Latino/Latina or Hispanic.
